❥What: The first slide show shows my style influences which come from a lot of things, some celebrity queens like Lana Del Rey, Vanessa Hudgens, and Rihanna, who all have different styles which I think genuinely feel represents me. Lana Del Rey is very classy and girly, while Vanessa Hudgens has a very carefree bohemian style, and Rihanna is very urban, grungy, and again carefree, but tough. The second slideshow is just to show some of the few inspirations i have. People like Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Lana Del Rey, and Rihanna help inspire me in many aspects of my life.
❥Progress: Listing out the people who i feel influence my life was a bit tricky to do. Style is something that i feel impacts my moods everyday. I'm a very eccentric person (i'll call myself this all the time). I like playing roles and things of that nature. If i'm dressed very edgy, grungy, alternative, i'll bring the attitude. If i'm dressed very girly I'll be sweet and charismatic because that how i feel the person who would wear this would be. It genuinely depends on the person i decide to be that day. I don't understand why some people think it's unhealthy to do this. When i was younger and received therapy, I was told that I took things from different peoples personality and would apply those traits to myself to in a way better myself. I was told this was just the way i was and it was okay. Furthermore, choosing life influences was hard, but i knew who was at the top of the list. Although I'd like to focus on My Chemical Romance. I love MCR with my entire being. I've never been able to apply a band to my life so drastically. Which each album they taught me that it's okay to be different, to be angry, to be scared, to hurt, and to grow up. In the words of My Chem, "Never let them take the light behind your eyes."
❥Reflection: I think it's important to show the root influences for every decision one makes. It's important to be able to step back and say "Here are the people that have had a part of making me who I am today". In a way it gives insight as to who you are. They music, videos, movies, and people we associate ourselves with play a very key part as to who you are. Although a lot of the music I listen to can be described as "aggressive" and "angry" I am not an aggressive person. I actually believe that the "aggressive", "angry" music makes me less aggressive and angry because it gives me somewhere to put it. The people that I look up too also provide me with an outlet as i aspire to be like them. They're all musicians, but also artists and style icons and so much more. They are not restricted, but choose to broaden their horizons. I hope to acquire some of the traits they have, hopefully ambition.
